Vollmundig haben Esko und Antti Järvelä aus Finnland und Kristian Bugge aus Dänemark sich selbst gekrönt und zu Königen der Polka ausgerufen. Solch eine Anmaßung hätten alle drei gar nicht nötig, sind sie doch erfolgreiche Jungstars und spielen in international gefeierten Bands wie FRIGG, BALTIC CROSSING oder HABADEKUK, entstammen legendären Musikerdynastien und haben die Musikhochschulen in Helsinki und Odense absolviert. Nichts erfasst die Menschen so gewiss wie die Polka und der Tod, das haben sie auf ihrer Internetseite geschrieben. Klare Worte, denn diese Jungs machen eben keine halben Sachen.
Imaginäre Funken und Lichtbögen sprühen, wenn sie einzig und allein mit zwei Geigen und einer Gitarre ihre Polkas rocken. Das ist energiegeladener akustischer Punk, den ihnen keiner so schnell nachmacht.

You may have noticed this already but here it comes again: We are the Kings of Polka! Yes. We like to dominate the areas where polka has kept its place as a too serious form of art. Yes. This music is meant for those who are lost within their own sense of good taste. Yes. Please keep in mind that nothing is certain but death and Polka! Yes.
The Kings of Polka debut CD „Every man’s Polka“ was lately reviewed in the American „SING OUT“ magazine: Well, they’ve taken on a mighty title. Two Finns and a Dane with a twin fiddle and guitar line-up. Just to set the record straight, this isn’t your oompah polka, but Nordic dance music.. ..played with real verve and energy – these guys obviously love the music and have a deep background in it. Played with all the fire and energy of rock, this is fine stuff indeed, with strong communication between the players and a sense that they didn’t want to stop when the sessions ended. ..a reminder that the young aren’t just about progress they can reach back and grab the old by the balls, too.

Esko i Antti Järvelä z Finlandii oraz Krtistian Bugge z Danii obwołali się pełną gębą i ukoronowali nakrólów polki. Taka arogancja nie była im wcale potrzebna, bo jako młode gwiazdy odnoszą przecieżsukcesy i grają w zespołach o randze międzynarodowej, takich jak FRIGG, BALTIC CROSSING czy HA-BADEKUK. Pochodzą z legendarnych dynastii muzyków i ukończyli wyższe szkoły muzyczne w Helsinkachi Odense. Nic, z pewnością, nie ujmuje tak ludzi jak polka i śmierć, jak napisali na swojej stronie inter-netowej. Są to jasne i mocne słowa, bo chłopcy nie robią rzeczy połowicznych.Urojone iskry i płomienie biją, gdy grają swoje polki w stylu rocka na dwóch tylko skrzypcach i jednejgitarze. Jest to akustyczny punk naładowany energią, jakiego im nikt wnet nie podrobi.
